Opening of a French Immersion
Preschool Pilot Site!
Frenzschool Inc. is delighted to announce the opening of a pilot
preschool site in partnership with Kindercare Learning Centres,
on October 10th 2005
The
pilot site is located at 5 Vega Place in Mairangi Bay, off the
Constellation Drive motorway exit.
We are proposing a class of up to 9 children, operating from 9:30am to
2:30pm, 5 days per week The children are however able to stay at the
centre outside of these hours, and partake in the usual program offered
by Kindercare.
The teaching will be carried out by an experienced French certified
teacher.
This French unit is aimed at 3 1/2 to 5 year old francophone children
and non-francophones coming from families motivated by the benefits of
bilingualism from an early age.
We aim to gradually introduce the French language to those not accustomed
to it, and build on the language skills and experiences that bilingual
children already have through playing games in French, listening to
French stories, to name but a few of the resources available.. It is also
important for us to integrate the children into the cultures around them
and unique to this country.
Enrolment:
Enrolment and Pre-enrolment needs to be arranged directly with Kindercare
on 478 8304. The cost of this unit will be included in the standard
Kindercare rates.
We recommend that you pay a visit to the centre and obtain a standard
Kindercare brochure.
More information on Kindercare centres can be found on http://www.kindercare.co.nz
If
you want to find out more about the French component:
Please email: contact@frenzschool.org.nz
We
need your support:
If your child is too young to enroll now, or you find the location of
this site inconvenient, we still need you to contact Kindercare and
express your interest in a French bilingual preschool.
The success of this pilot and the interest showed in the pre-enrolment
list will allow Kindercare and Frenzschool Inc. to increase the positions
available and open more units in other locations.
We welcome your comments and feed-back.
