We
We arrived in New Zealand in October 2006 with Julie who was 7, Marie who
was 5 and our 5 suitcases... our only landmark was the school. It was very
important to us to find a school where our daughters could continue their
education in French as well as learning about other cultures. A public
school where they could learn about the wealth brought by cultural
differences.... today's world. We are very happy to accompany them on
their cultural journey. We have set no limits... we have even welcomed our
little Lola in our family. We would never have imagined having a kiwin
daugther !
Committee member:
Veronique
McIntosh
I first became involved with Frenz
School inc. while working on the preschool sub-committee when my 2nd son was a
newborn. After a number of years in South East Asia, where my husband was posted
we decided to relocate the family to our home base in Auckland. Having a
bilingual primary school helped us in our decision to come back to Auckland.
Being a bilingual family, our children needed a French school environment to
help them become fluent French readers and writers. I'm now essentially involved
witht eh Frenz School Inc. library.
Committee member: Claude
Gagné
Claude arrived to NZ from
Montreal in December 2004, and became involved in the coordination of the
French Playgroup: Les Petits Lascars. From that experience she gradually
became interested in establishing a kindergarten for Auckland ’s French speaking preschoolers, hence her involvement with FRENZ. Her
career background is in IT Business Administration and web-based
marketing. Outside of the odd mountain bike race and respectable wine
tasting hobby, she devotes most of her domestic goddess time to Clara (5),
Léonie (2), and reformed-scientist husband Kevin (age not up for
discussion)!
