Bravo and congratulations for teaching the children of RRS, so well. I have no doubt that I was one of the more demanding parents you had to deal with. I t is true that we should listen better and have more faith in your knowledge of both the French and New Zealand education systems. Admittedly, it is the unknown that worries us with the memories of a very academic schooling in France, and the recognition of a very different style in New Zealand.

Cecile and Enzo have adapted very quickly. After 3 months, they are among the best students in their classes and their teachers are surprised at both their results and ability to adapt.

Thanks to you they are proud with themselves at having coped with the changes in their lives so successfully.

 Once again thank you

 Isabelle

Letter from Jennifer and Pascal Pellat-Fine

We have had a remarkable experience with the French Unit/Ropu 11 at Richmond Road School.

After living in France for two years, and our son having attended a maternelle, we relocated temporarily to Auckland for business, and were pleasantly surprised to find a French speaking school located in our neighborhood.

Our son’s French speaking skills have improved, he is learning to read, draw objects, math, science, and overall becoming quite an independant little boy at the age of five.  The preparation he has received for the re-integration of attending the official French Primaire in September is unsurpassable.  The children’s teacher Vessna has the upmost understanding and consideration of our child’s needs and attends to every child respectively.  She is an asset to our community and I thank her profusely for doing such an incredible job.

The school is a wonderful place in itself and was quite an education for our son to realise and respect the many different cultures of the South Pacific and her islands.

We will miss the many kind friends we have made through FRENZ and hope to see you someday soon in France.

With pleasure, Jennifer, Pascal and Roland Pellat-Finet
